The Widow’s Tale

The Widow’s Tale is Mick Jackson’s fifth book and his third novel.  It was first published in 2010.

It follows a woman, in her mid-sixties, who has recently lost her husband.  On a whim, she jumps in her car, drives up to North Norfolk and rents a cottage, where she can lick her wounds.

As the story unfolds we begin to see that the part of the country that she’s run away to is far from arbitrary.

(Sounds sort of dismal and worthy doesn’t it?  Trust me it isn’t.  I should know – I wrote it.)
